Our Last Stand screened to 175 attendees in Cincinnati, Ohio Saturday afternoon. A discussion with His Excellency Elias Zaidan, Bishop of the Maronite Catholic eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles and Producer Jordan Allott followed the screening.

Producer Jordan Allott presented Our Last Stand during the 2017 SIT, St. Lawrence USA Conference at Trinitarian Retreat Center near Baltimore, MD.
The Trinitarians were founded by St. John de Matha and St. Felix of Valois at the end of the 12th century.The founding intention of John was to ransom of Christians held captive by nonbelievers, a consequence of crusading and pirating along the Mediterranean coast of Europe.

Our Last Stand screened to over 150 people at the Hillside Community Church in Grand Rapids Michigan this past weekend.

On April 28th, 2017, In Defense of Christians-Arizona and Desert Springs Bible Church​ hosted a screening of Our Last Stand in Phoenix, AZ. Approximately 200 people attended the event, which started with a ecumenical prayer service and reception and ended with a Q and A session.

On April 20th, 2017, the Acton Institute hosted a screening of Our Last Stand in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Our Last Stand screened in Kansas City, Missouri in coordination with the Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City.

Our Last Stand was screened at 4 locations in Rockford and Northeast Illinois March 21-25th, 2017.

Producer Helma Adde presented Our Last Stand to a group of Catholic business leaders in Manhattan (Legatus).

Our Last Stand screened in Toronto, Canada on March 6, 2017 at St. Michaels. The event was organized by the Newman Centre, the University of St.Michael’s College and Ryerson University Catholic Chaplaincy.

Our Last Stand screened at St. Mary Catholic Church – Old Town, Alexandria, VA on March 4th, 2017 followed by and Q and A session with the producers.

Our Last Stand was screened to over 300 attendees at the Greenwich Public Library’s Cole Auditorium on February 25th. The event was sponsored by In Defense of Christians – New York Chapter and the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich. The screening was followed by a panel discussion that included Congressman Jim Himes, Reverend Sean Miller, Producers Helma Adde and Jordan Allott and moderator Hagar Hajjar Chemali. In addition to those mentioned above, a special thanks to Julien Chemali and Rami Helou for organizing the event.

Our Last Stand screened at Lebuinus Roman Catholic Parish in Deventer,Netherlands on Feb. 21, 2017. Producers Jordan Allott and Helma Adde were present for a Q and A session after the film.

The Our Last Stand team would like to thank Sarah Elliott, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Religious Freedom, Mr. Jim Shannon, MP., and A Demand For Action’s Nuri Kino for organizing a superb private screening of the film at the prestigious Speakers’ House in the Palace of Westminster in London, England.

One of the most moving moments of the evening occurred during the start of the panel discussion, when reflecting on the film and on the plight of fellow Christians in the Middle East, MP Shannon broke down in tears…as did many others after this moment of emotional solidarity.

The event was attended by various members of the House of Lords and House of Commons (including Lord David Alton, and Speaker Bercow) leaders from a multitude of international human rights organizations and members of the media.

Presenting Our Last Stand to 50 to the Wichita chapter of Legatus (a Catholic organization of CEOs and business leaders), along with a discussion on how they can help the persecuted in the Middle East.

Our Last Stand screened to about 200 people on Sunday night, Feb. 12th at the Huntington Cinema Arts Centre on Long Island.

On Tuesday, February 7th Our Last Stand was screened at the Sheen Center for Culture and thought in Manhattan. The screening was followed by a discussion with the filmmakers.

Our Last Stand Producer Jordan Allott was invited to join Syriac Catholic Archbishop Petrus Mouche (Mosul, Iraq), Archbishop Polycarpos Augin Aydin from Holland, Dutch Parliamentarian Pieter Omtzigt, A Demand For Action’s Nuri Seyhan Kino, Alliance Defending Freedom’s Ewelina UA Ochab and a small group of other advocates at both the Dutch Parliament and the International Criminal Court at The Hague last week. The group presented oral, written and visual testimony (including clips from Our Last Stand) as they worked to pursued lawmakers to act on behalf of persecuted minorities in Iraq and Syria.

Our Last Stand screened at the historic De Balie theatre in Amsterdam, Netherlands. A panel discussion followed with Producer Jordan Allott, Member of Parliament in the Netherlands Pieter Omtzigt, A Demand For Action’s Nuri Seyhan Kino and Journalist Elma Drayer.

Our Last Stand screened at theaters in the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Enschede) on the 12th and 13th of December. The Concordia and De Baile theatres were the venues for the screenings, which were organized by Member of Parliament Pieter Omtzigt, Paul and Cecilia van Blijswijk and A Demand For Action’s Nuri Seyhan Kino.

On December 7th, In Defense of Christians – LA Chapter and Tony Azzi hosted the LA premiere of Our Last Stand. Over 300 people attended the reception, screening and Q and A session at the Ahrya Fine Arts by Laemmle theatre in Beverly Hills.

On December 5th, the In Defense of Christians – Colorado chapter organized a kickoff event/film screening in Denver, Colorado.

Our Last Stand screened at the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm on November 22. The film, and filmmakers Helma Adde and Jordan Allott were invited by Swedish politicians Birgitta Ohlsson and Robert Hannah, as well as A Demand For Action Founder Nuri Seyhan Kino.

Nuri Seyhan Kino and A Demand For Action hosted a private screening of Our Last Stand with the filmmakers Helma Adde and Jordan Allott and guest of honor, European Union Member of Parliament Lars Adaktusson at the Södra Sällskapet club in Stockholm.

Our Last Stand was screened at and nominated for Best Documentary at the Glendale International Film Festival in Glendale, California.

Over 200 people came out for the Wichita premiere of Our Last Stand in late September. The screening and panel discussion was hosted by In Defense of Christians – Wichita and Fr. Paul O’Callaghan and held at the East 13th Ave Warren Theatre.

Our Last Stand screened at the Saratoga Springs Film Festival on September 17th, 2016 at 9:25pm at the Bow Tie Cinema (19 Railroad Place)in Saratoga Springs, NY.

A full house of almost 300 people attended the Washington D.C. Premiere of Our Last Stand. The screening, reception and Q & A was hosted by In Defense of Christians during its 2016 National Advocacy Convention and was held at the Heritage Foundation.

Our Last Stand screened at the Revolution Me Film Festival in New York on Saturday, August 20th. Our Last Stand won awards for Best Feature Documentary and Best Documentary Director.

Our Last Stand premiered at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan to over 400 people on Friday August 19th.  This special event was hosted by In Defense of Christians- New York Chapter.  

Our Last Stand producer Helma Adde was invited to speak at the 33rd Annual Syriac Orthodox Youth Convention for the Eastern United States. This gathering, held at the Meadowlands Hilton in New Jersey, was attended by over 300 youth participants from around the world. A former member of this youth organization herself, Helma was eager to share scenes from the upcoming film and speak to the youth about the escalating crisis afflicting the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac Christians in their indigenous homeland in the Middle East.

Our Last Stand was pre-screened at St. Mark’s Syriac Orthodox Cathedral in New Jersey on June 15, during an event hosted by Archbishop Jean Kawak entitled, “101 Years in the Making: We Remember SAYFO”. Over 100 people showed up to watch the event, which included a discussion about the work of In Defense of Christians. A Demand For Action’s Steve Oshana joined the producers for a discussion after the screening.

Producers Jordan Allott and Helma Adde joined In Defense of Christians at the We Are N 2016 Religious Freedom Conference at the United Nations in New York in late April. The OLS trailer was shown as part of the 3-day event hosted by CitizenGO and IDC.

On April 5, 2016, a pre-screening (rough-cut) of Our Last Stand was presented at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Houston, TX. Over 120 people showed up for the presentation.

Our Last Stand was pre-screened with members of the EU Parliament Brussels, Belgium to help educate them about the need to fund Christian militias, including the Syriac military Council (featured in Our Last Stand).

Our Last Stand co-producer Helma Adde spoke to a group of pastors about the persecution of AssyrianChaldeanSyriac Christians in the Middle East.

The FORUM Lecture Series presented a lecture by Our Last Stand filmmaker Jordan Allott. The lecture included videos and photos from his travels in Iraq and Syria. Jordan was joined by In Defense of Christian’s Executive Director, Kirsten Evans.

Speaking to alumni and sophomore students of the Leadership Institute of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Jordan Allott presented about the plight of Christians in the Middle East and showed the trailer for his film, Our Last Stand.

The trailer for Our Last Stand was shown for the first time at In Defense of Christians’ National Leadership Conference. The trailer was shown along with other documentaries, art exhibits and a question and answer program during the cultural event at the French Embassy.
