The Our Last Stand team would like to thank Sarah Elliott, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Religious Freedom, Mr. Jim Shannon, MP., and A Demand For Action’s Nuri Kino for organizing a superb private screening of the film at the prestigious Speakers’ House in the Palace of Westminster in London, England. One of the most moving moments of the evening occurred during the start of the panel discussion, when reflecting on the film and on the plight of fellow Christians in the Middle East, MP Shannon broke down in tears…as did many others after this moment of emotional solidarity. The event was attended by various members of the House of Lords and House of Commons (including Lord David Alton, and Speaker Bercow) leaders from a multitude of international human rights organizations and members of the media. |

Our Last Stand Producer Jordan Allott was invited to join Syriac Catholic Archbishop Petrus Mouche (Mosul, Iraq), Archbishop Polycarpos Augin Aydin from Holland, Dutch Parliamentarian Pieter Omtzigt, A Demand For Action’s Nuri Seyhan Kino, Alliance Defending Freedom’s Ewelina UA Ochab and a small group of other advocates at both the Dutch Parliament and the International Criminal Court at The Hague last week. The group presented oral, written and visual testimony (including clips from Our Last Stand) as they worked to pursued lawmakers to act on behalf of persecuted minorities in Iraq and Syria. |

Our Last Stand producer Helma Adde was invited to speak at the 33rd Annual Syriac Orthodox Youth Convention for the Eastern United States. This gathering, held at the Meadowlands Hilton in New Jersey, was attended by over 300 youth participants from around the world. A former member of this youth organization herself, Helma was eager to share scenes from the upcoming film and speak to the youth about the escalating crisis afflicting the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac Christians in their indigenous homeland in the Middle East.

Over 100 people showed up to watch the event, which included a discussion about the work of In Defense of Christians. A Demand For Action’s Steve Oshana joined the producers for a discussion after the screening.
